WELCOME TO THE INTERACTIVE LOCAL PLAN

Since the Local Plan was adopted in 1998 it has provided the basis for consistent decision making on the planning applications received by the District Council. The policies that it contains may also be used to help those preparing applications for new proposals and inform others who might be affected by those new ideas.

The document was based on the framework of Planning Policy Guidance Notes published between 1996 and 1998. As such some aspects of the plan are out of date and the Council is moving forward with the preparation of its Local Development Framework. In order to help the Council provide for more affordable homes, an update for the Housing policies is also being proposed and an alteration for the Plan has been formally published. Details can be found at http://www.midsuffolk.gov.uk/Environment/Planning/policy/LPredeposit0605.htm
